140. Matchbox 20 – If You’re Gone

Year: 2000

Album: Mad Season

“If You’re Gone” reached #5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, the band’s second best-ranking song.



139. MGMT – Time To Pretend

Year: 2008

Album: Oracular Spectacular

“Time To Pretend” is number 493 on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.



138. Finger Eleven – Paralyzer

Year: 2007

Album:  Them vs. You vs. Me

“Paralyzer” was a #1 Mainstream Rock Hit.



137. The Black Eyed Peas – I Gotta Feeling

Year: 2009

Album: The E.N.D.

“I Gotta Feeling” eached number one on the US charts and 20 other charts worldwide.



136. Five For Fighting – The Riddle

Year: 2006

Album: Two Lights

“The Riddle (You and I)” spent 18 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100.



135. DHT ft. Edmee – Listen To Your Heart

Year: 2004

Album: Listen to Your Heart

By June 2005, DHT’s cover of “Listen To Your Heart” had reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The same year, the group also released an acoustic ballad version of the song, which also received substantial airplay.



134. Nelly Furtado – I’m Like A Bird

Year: 2000

Album: Whoa, Nelly!

“I’m Like A Bird” was one of the most successful singles of 2001, reaching number one in Canada, number two in Australia and New Zealand, number five in the UK, and number nine in the United States.



133.  BB Mak – Back Here

Year: 2000

Album: Sooner or Later

“Back Here”  spent a whopping 24 weeks in the Top 40.



132. Akon – Don’t Matter

Year: 2007

Album: Konvicted

“Don’t Matter” landed at #31 on Rolling Stone‘s list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007.



131. Kanye West – Stronger 

Year: 2007

Album:  Graduation

“Stronger” won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance at the 50th Grammy Awards.



130. Taylor Swift – Love Story

Year: 2008

Album: Fearless

In the United States, “Love Story” peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold over 5,387,000 paid digital downloads.



129.  Kid Rock – All Summer Long

Year: 2008

Album: Rock n Roll Jesus

“All Summer Long” was a number-one hit in eight countries across EuropeAustralia and the United Kingdom. It even crossed over to country music radio, giving Kid Rock his first top-ten country hit.



128.  The Killers – Somebody Told Me

Year: 2004

Album: Hot Fuss 

In a hilarious bit of trivia, US Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney mentioned this song among his top 10 songs of all time in March 2012.



127. Lady Gaga – Bad Romance

Year: 2009

Album:  The Fame Monster

“Bad Romance” won the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.



126.  Carolina Liar – Show Me What I’m Looking For 

Year: 2008

Album: Coming to Terms

“Show Me What I’m Looking For” was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It also had a lengthy run on the top 20 video countdown of cable television network VH1.



125. Billy Talent – Try Honesty 


Year: 2003

Album: Billy Talent

Billy Talent was certified 3 times platinum in Canada in January 2007.



124. Elliott Yamin – Wait For You

Year: 2007

Album: Elliott Yamin

“Wait For You” was the 6th most played song of 2007 on Top 40 radio.



123. Boys Like Girls – The Great Escape

Year: 2007

Album: Boys Like Girls

“The Great Escape” has been certified Platinum and gold by the RIAA, and appeared in numerous movie trailers and video games.



122. Eminem – The Real Slim Shady 

Year: 2000

Album: The Marshall Mathers LP

“The Real Slim Shady” won multiple awards, includingMTV Video Music Awards for Best Video and Best Male Video, as well as a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance.



121. OneRepublic – Good Life

Year: 2009

Album: Waking Up

“Good Life” peaked at number 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and eventually was certified multi-platinum.
